Award-winning producer-director-cinematographer Christine Kane has spent the last decade working in the professional film and video industry. Her 2020 docuseries A Break for Impact, about the humanitarian crisis at the Texas-Mexico border, earned her a regional EMMY® Award. She has since won seven more EMMY® Awards for immigration-themed projects including the series Crosses in the Dust, filmed in the Sonoran Desert along the Arizona-Mexico border, the short What We Came From, filmed in Tijuana, Mexico, and the El Paso-based shorts Beneath the Same Sky and A City That Cares.
