A musician and a senior at Wakefield-Marenisco High School, Catherine enjoys performing as well as studying new ideas in music theory. Although she has not been able to perform publicly since December of 2019 due to pandemic restrictions, Catherine continues to practice solo pieces on her trumpet along with the concert band pieces she studies in class. She also likes to sing, as it helps her appreciate what choirs are capable of achieving. She is considering attending Oakland University, where she hopes to major in music education and performance.
“I’m working as hard as I can to grow as a musician, a student, a leader, and as a person. As an Ambassador I hope to better myself and meet new individuals along the way. This is an amazing chance to keep up with my studies and keep myself on track. And having a potential performance opportunity is a really big deal for me.”
