Emberlight Festival Announces Photography Show and Other Local Collaborative Art Shows

IRONWOOD – The Emberlight Festival is excited to announce the Emberlight Festival Photography Show: Discovering Artists in Nature Exhibit (sponsored by The Leather & Gift Shop). This unique Exhibit showcases some of the photographers who have volunteered to help us capture the Emberlight Festival’s inaugural season. Featured photographers are; Gerard Lauzon,Tim Nerenz, Emily Matonich, Alyssa Schwab, Linda Kangas-Slining, Betsy Wesselhoft, and Ken Wiele. One to two photos from each photographer were hand selected by a panel of judges for the exhibit. This exhibit opens August 5 at 10:00 AM and will be open to the public Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays through September 5th. It is located inside the Historic Ironwood Depot. The show is in collaboration with the Ironwood Historic Society and is sponsored by the Leather and Gift Shop.

In conjunction with the festival are two different art shows, one titled “Light Your Fire Art Exhibit” hosted by the Downtown Art Place and the 66th Annual Art Show hosted by the Range Art Association. The Light Your Fire Exhibit features fine art and photography that will be on display in the Concourse of the Historic Ironwood Theatre. Sculptures will be displayed at the Downtown Art Place. This show exhibit will run August 26 – September 30. The Range Art Association Art Show will exhibit all media from north eastern Wisconsin and western Upper Peninsula of Michigan artists. This show will run August 26 – September 5 at the Ironwood Memorial Building Auditorium.

The Emberlight Festival is also proud to offer nearly 20 free events in conjunction with the festival, including the world premiere of Dirk Wierenga’s “Route 2 Elsewhere”, Art in the Park, the Film Festival Red Carpet Finale, and many more.
