Emberlight Festival Announces Season Ticket Sales & Events

The Emberlight Festival, an annual celebration that produces world-class art within the natural beauty of Michigan’s western Upper Peninsula, is excited to announce its 2021 events as well as the opening date for its coveted Emberlight Season Ticket sales.

The Emberlight Festival’s events will include Broadway Under the Stars, starring Broadway performers and Juilliard-trained musicians under the late summer stars at the bucolic Big Powderhorn Mountain Resort. These performances will take place August 26 – 28, with one performance each night at 7:30 PM.  Broadway Under the Stars is sponsored by Stormy Kromer and Jacquart Fabric Products.

Earlier in the day on Saturday, August 28, the rising star of the classical music world, homegrown tenor Miles Mykkanen, returns to the Historic Ironwood Theatre for one afternoon only. Joined by the acclaimed pianist John Arida, the duo will present musical favorites by the great composers of the 20th century including Strauss, Britten, Respighi, and Stravinsky. The recital will take place Saturday, August 28th at 1:00 PM.

Next up is the Emberlight International Film Festival. The Film Festival is overseen by international director and producer, Colton Pometta, and will be hosted in Ironwood’s Historic Depot Park and Pavilion from August 31 – September 3, 2021. The 2021 Film Festival will focus on narrative shorts, documentary shorts, and micro films.  The Emberlight International Film Festival is sponsored by the Ironwood Tourism Council.

This event will take place at Theatre North on Sunday, August 29 at 4:00 PM. Ticket sales for this event will open on May 18th with only 75 tickets available.
