Arica Jackson was raised in West Bloomfield, Michigan and later moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan where she graduated from Forest Hills Eastern high school. She earned her BFA in drama from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017. Upon graduation, she joined the first national tour of the Broadway musical, Waitress. She made her Broadway debut in Head over Heels. Arica has been in numerous Broadway shows since then, including the Tony and Grammy nominated Broadway production of Caroline, or Change. Arica was also nominated for best supporting actress in a musical for the Regional Production of Grace in Washington, D.C. Arica has also appeared in the CBS show “Evil” and the Sing-Along version of the Netflix movie “Jingle Jangle”.
Arica is currently in the Broadway production of The Book of Mormon. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
