Violinist Suzy Perelman has performed in the orchestras of over 40 shows on Broadway over the past 20 years. She recently completed a run as concertmaster of BOOP, a new musical about Betty Boop. A former member of both the Utah and San Antonio Symphonies, Suzy performs in orchestra concerts, recitals, and shows regularly throughout the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania area. Recent venues have included the Hershey Museum, Merkin Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Radio City Music Hall where she performs as concertmaster of the Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes.
During the pandemic, Suzy established “Concerts in the Courtyard”, a free outdoor concert series open to the public in front of her West 85th Street brownstone in NYC. During the warmer months, Suzy performs in those concerts in her courtyard every 3 weeks or so. When not practicing or performing, Suzy loves cycling, word games, long walks, flying trapeze, Israeli dancing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She is also the teacher of 7 young violin students studying the Suzuki Method. Fun Fact: Any piece Suzy plays on the violin she can play while hula hooping!
