FIND YOUR NORTH
Presented by the Downtown Art Place
Each summer, Downtown Art Place brings together artists from across the region for Find Your North — a juried exhibition celebrating the landscapes, identities, and creative voices that define life in the Northwoods and beyond.
While Downtown Art Place’s year-round gallery continues to anchor Ironwood’s growing arts scene on Aurora Street, this special summer exhibition expands into the Historic Ironwood Theatre concourse, transforming the beloved venue into a vibrant public gallery throughout the festival season.
Featuring a diverse collection of fine art and photography, Find Your North explores themes of place, memory, belonging, and discovery through works that range from intimate and contemplative to bold and unexpected. Together, the exhibition offers a striking snapshot of the artistic energy flourishing across the western Upper Peninsula and surrounding region.
The exhibition will be on display July 1–31, 2026 at the Historic Ironwood Theatre concourse and will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00–4:00 pm.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the exhibition before performances, during festival events, or as part of an afternoon downtown immersed in the arts. Additional information about special events and receptions will be announced later this summer.
